Makeup Today:






 In today's world makeup is taking over the scene on social media. Youtube is full of tutorials for simple makeup ideas or crazy face art sweeping the nation. Today I'm going into detail on a couple makeup trends and artists that are spreading world currently. Today's makeup connects all genders on social media and attracts all ages. I myself am very into the makeup trends today I watch quite a few beauty Youtubers who do lots of fun challenges and trends.


James Charles is one of my favorite beauty personalities, he is 19 years old and has over 14 million subscribers on youtube. His estimated net worth is around 8 million currently from selling his own eyeshadow palette and brush set for a big $188 dollars and has been sold out since its release in November. I've been on a wait list since early December and still haven't received my email that a palette is available. James is known for his crazy eyeshadow art and his makeup tutorials on youtube.


James is known for his crazy eye and face art that he free hands on himself. In this particular video he blends ten of his makeup ideas into one face of makeup for his followers. I've tried to follow one of his simpler tutorials needless to say I'm no where close to his talent but multiple other follow his tutorials are successful and post their remakes on Instagram and tag him in their post.

The next beauty guru I'll be talking about is Jaclyn Hill who is another Youtube personality with 5.8 million followers. She is not as well known as James Charles but has paired with Morphe and released a palette and I own hers. Jaclyn is 28 years old and is estimated to be worth 1.5 million.


Jaclyn is well known for her day to day makeup tutorials that are easy to follow along with. Like I stated earlier I have her eye shadow palette she released last year and I have to say the quality of the product is amazing. She does a lot of makeup reviews for different products like Kylie Cosmetics, Jeffree Star, and even the James Charles palette. I follow along with Jaclyn's tutorials and have actually done quite a few of her looks for special events or even a date night. To me she is a more relatable beauty personality because the looks she does are not as advanced as someone like James Charles.

 

Makeup is constantly evolving and changing with different makeup artists. The two artists I discussed today are continuing to release new products and tutorials. These are just two of many talented beauticians that are changing the way we see makeup and the world of makeup is one that will never disappear.

Freeform's Shadowhunters:

Earlier in the year I did a television critique over the Masked Singer and here I am again coming to the world of television. This isn't necessarily a critique more of a way to showcase something that is one of my favorite series ever. The show didn't just come about overnight the whole series is based off the bestselling novels of Cassandra Clare. The Mortal Instruments books series has been around since the first book was released in 2007. Cassandra Clare has many other book series but this is her most famous one.
